I'm sure you're here for one simple reason, namely, to find out exactly what kind of mess you've wandered into. What exactly IS HDLNS.com? What is this site all about?

Well, I'll start off with the short answer: HDLNS.com is, simply, a web based RSS reader. That pretty much sums it up.

Now, the really cool part is that its a lot MORE than JUST any old RSS Reader.

First, and foremost, HDLNS.com the EASIEST TO USE RSS READER YOU WILL EVER FIND. You don't have to register, although you will certainly want to once you learn how it works. You don't have to go find RSS Feeds to subscribe to, although, once again, you may eventually want to. But the point is that all you really HAVE to do is click on things you find interesting, and read them. In fact, and this is probably the most important part, YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO KNOW WHAT RSS EVEN IS!! It really is just that easy. We've done all the hard part. All you have to do is click and read.

Basically, all you do is click topics you are interested in, and lists of titles appear. As you drill down from more general to more specific topics (on the left), you will get more selective, more targeted topics, both as articles in the middle, and as lists of available feeds on the lower left.

Clicking categories will show you a sample of the articles in the feeds contained in the category. Clicking any single feed (on the lower left) will display all the article headlines we have available for the feed.

Now, the really cool part is that we maintain a fairly large collection feeds, all sorted into categories, so you can find them easily, and you can read them without subscribing to them. Today you want to read about Nepal. No problem. Tomorrow you want to read about Growing Tomatos? No problem. Just browse around and make yourself comfortable.

But the REAL power of HDLNS comes when you know you like to read about certain things on a regular basis, because on HDLNS, you can ALSO register, and then you can bookmark feeds and articles into collections. And once you throw a couple feeds into a collection, you can easily stay up to date just by reading your collection.

Its like being your own news director. Why let someone else decide what stories are printed in your newspaper? On HDLNS, you define your own newspaper based on your interests.
