Late Cretaceous feathers in amber
(Cronaca) Samples of amber in western Canada containing feathers from dinosaurs and birds have yielded the most complete story of feather evolution ever seen. Eleven fragments show the progression from hair-like 'filaments' to doubly-branched feathers
